What Is A Gel Pedicure?

5 EASY STEPS FOR APPLYING A GEL PEDICURE
The steps involved in applying gel polish at home or your local nail salon will be the same, regardless of whether you're going to the same technician.
NAIL PREP
Preparing your toenails is a good idea for nail polish applications. These are the tools you will need for this task:
Buff thoroughly to prepare your toenails.
Next, trim and file your toenails to be even and smooth.
After prepping your toenails, wipe them with an alcohol wipe.
APPLY AND CURE A GEL BASE COAT
It is necessary to apply a base coat. Gel polish will not work with regular base coats because they won't cure under UV or LED light.
Begin with one foot, then apply the gel basecoat evenly to each toenail.
Apply a gel base coat to one foot. After that, dry your toe nails with a UV light or LED lamp for at least 30 seconds. Do the same for your second foot.
You should not leave the skin to dry for more than 45 seconds. The light source can cause severe burns.
Notably, the LED lamp is gentler than the UV light. This is something to remember when purchasing a gel manicure kit for at-home use.
APPLY AND CURE THE GEL POLISH
This is the fun part. Choose your favorite black gel nail polish varnish.
Paint at least two coats of gel polish evenly before applying it.
You will need acetone and a few cotton balls to remove any polish from your skin.
Because the lamp will dry polish, it will cause it to stick to the nail and make it more difficult to remove; it will be easier to catch them before curing.
Apply two coats of gel polish to one foot. After that, dry the foot with an LED or UV lamp for 45 seconds. Continue the process of painting and curing the second foot.
APPLY TO CURE A TOP COAT
To finish curing gel polish, you will need a top coat.
A gel top coat should be applied to the edges. This will make your pedicure last longer.
To ensure that your pedicure is dry, leave the gel topcoat for at least 45 seconds.
You can add nail stickers to your nails after you have dried the top coat. Add the designs you like, apply them smoothly, and seal them with a top coat.
Use rubbing alcohol to remove any residue or stray nail polish from your skin.
BEFORE CARE
It would help if you did not use a curing lamp on your skin. Use aftercare.
